Premier Coach, Inc. is a family owned charter motor coach business, providing exceptional service that knows how to drive safe, comfortably and on time. Our business was built by ground transportation professionals with over seventy (70) years of expertise - so we know how to exceed our customers expectations.
From its inception through 2002, Premier Coach was led by Sy Slater, Director of Operations (1930-2002). As a lifelong New Yorker, he brought his passion for the City and dedication to service to work every day. Throughout Sy's career, friends, employees and clients relied on his spectacular ability to remember a client's history, or hospitality needs. In the office or on the road his leadership was admirable as he effortlessly guided fleets of motor coaches on time each and every day. Looking back, this was most outstanding because it was performed without the ease of modern technology or the things we take for granted when making travel plans and reservations such as; cell phones, computers, e-mail, GPS and fax machines. Mr. Slater's commitment to the charter industry made him a legend, but his personal attention to your every detail made him a friend.
In 1994, Jim Lazoja joined Premier and now serves as its Chief Director of Operations at its headquarters in New York City. As Sy's protege, Jim brought nearly twenty years of his own experience in the charter coach industry at the helm of Economy Tours. Under his guidance, the company steadily progressed adding a broad array of fleet vehicles and staff specialists. In 2004, the precision operations of Premier Coach expanded further buying Rorak Ocean Tours and Royal Tour Lines. Today, the companies are operated as a single brand and Premier has rapidly grown to become one of the largest motor coach and tour operators in the Northeast Corridor with centralized dispatch, care and equipment.
